Writer, Poet - Artist
Charles Dutka is a poet and writer who lives and works in Connecticut. He is currently assembling his first collection, Temporarily Fatal. His poetry has appeared in the literary journals Poetry Quarterly, Dark Matter, Melancholy Hyperbole, Typehouse Magazine, and Adelaide Literary Magazine. He was also a finalist in Adelaide's 2018 Voices Awards for poetry and will be appearing in the ALM Best of 2018 Anthology.
His screenwriting work has appeared in film festivals around the country, most recent credits include Nobody's Son appearing in Frozen Film Fest in St. Paul (where it won Best Dramatic Short, Twin City film fest, Houston Film Fest and one other. Shorts, such as Death by Email, have aired in New London's Hygienic Art's Park and in Mystic Cinemas. He has worked under contract for Sony Studios, Playstation Home, PSX Extreme, Starfire Video Productions, Unsound Work Productions, and many more. A handful of his film credits include: Nobody's Son, SPIN, Indecent Attraction, Death by Email, Early Closing Time, That's All Folks, The Day Before Tomorrow, Losing Sophia and several others.
